About THE PROJECT
Hundreds of abandoned, Inactive and derelict vessels litter ports, waterways, and estuaries all over the Tri-State Area. They are rotting in the backyards or marinas and the owners would love to get rid of them asap. At the same time, the construction of affordable housing has been chronically and historically underfunded in New York and beyond. We have a solution to solve both issues and give even more back to the community.

Provide affordable housing built from abandoned boats. Boats that are not sailing anymore can get a second life by being upcycled into a new comfortable and eco-friendly homeS. Add Value: summer camp, where kids can learn how to build and sustain eco-friendly home.

Even one of the smallest 24 ft boats is an equivalent TO a studio apartment. A 40 ft boat is considered to be a comfortable vessel for a family of 3. Your boat home falls under the category of A tiny home, although, by design, it has more functional space than the regular tiny home. Don't forget that half of the boat is taken by the engine and the keel of the boat. A vessel that IS no longer seaworthy - you are increasing the overall boat living space by half.
